Racheli Kreisberg, Ph.D., MBA

Dr. Racheli Kreisberg has been commemorating her late grandfather Simon Wiesenthal since he passed away in 2005. In addition to her commemoration activities she develops i) the Simon Wiesenthal Genealogy Geolocation Initiative (SWIGGI); ii) the Simon Wiesenthal Holocaust Memorial (SW-HoMe); iii) the Simon Wiesenthal Educational Platform.

She serves as Innovation Attaché at the Netherlands Embassy in Israel (www.idic.org.il) and is an experienced genealogist and tour guide in Israel. She holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology and Molecular Microbiology from Tel Aviv University (TAU), an Executive MBA from TAU, a M.Sc. in Chemistry (summa cum laude) from the Technion. She served as an intelligence officer in the IDF.

Racheli was born in the Netherlands in 1966 and immigrated to Israel in 1977 with her family.

Yossi Beck, MA

Yossi Beck, MS, has been involved in genealogy research for over 25 years, focusing on Dutch Jewry. His interest in this field started with his efforts to research and commemorate the dozens of his maternal family members who were murdered in the Holocaust. The results of this research can be found at the https://beck.org.il website.

Yossi has been programming in PHP and in JavaScript for 25 years and he is a co-programmer of the HuMo-gen genealogy program that is also used for presenting the genealogy section of the SWIGGI project.  He has extensive experience in planning, developing and programming of dynamic websites and server-side applications, database management and user interface (UI) optimization. Additionally he has in-depth knowledge of the Google Maps API and experience in the use of GIS and QGIS applications , with emphasis on matching historic0 (cadastral) maps with present-day mapping services.
